Torrevieja is a multicultural city with a rich calendar of festivals shaped by tradition and unique character, some recognised for tourist interest, such as Easter Week and the May Fair, a celebration with a true Andalusian spirit.
These are the city’s biggest festivities and one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year. During this time, the city hosts a packed programme including concerts, cultural activities,
paella competitions, parades of giants and big-heads, and various traditional events that bring together locals and visitors.
On 8 December, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, a Solemn Mass and procession are held in honour of the patron saint; this is a particularly significant day for the people of Torrevieja and the highlight of the Patron Saint’s Festivities.
Dates 2026: From 28th November to 8th December
Every 5th January, the Three Kings arrive in Torrevieja by sea, using the port as their entry point into the city. From there, the parade sets off towards Plaza de la Constitución, on a route full of excitement where the pages collect letters and hand out thousands of sweets.
Declared a Festival of Tourist Interest by the Valencian Regional Government, Easter in Torrevieja stands out for its artistic heritage and the participation of 14 brotherhoods. Their processions wind through the city centre in one of Torrevieja’s most deeply-rooted celebrations.

Declared a Festival of Tourist Interest in the Valencian Community, the May Fair transforms the city into a fairground in the purest Andalusian style. Marquees, sevillanas, flamenco costumes and equestrian shows fill this unmissable event on the local calendar with a festive atmosphere.

The traditional bonfire of San Juan is celebrated in the Barrio del Calvario, symbolically marking the arrival of summer with a neighbourhood atmosphere and popular festivities.

As the patron saint of fishermen, she is at the heart of one of the most moving celebrations on the calendar. A highlight is the maritime procession, during which the statue is carried around the bay accompanied by boats, reflecting the city’s deep connection with the sea.

The festival calendar is rounded off with celebrations such as the Virgen del Rocío (June), San Emigdio (August), San Roque (August) and Virgen del Rosario in La Mata (October), which reinforce the identity and tradition of the town’s various neighbourhoods
