Torrevieja's routes offer the opportunity to enjoy the natural surroundings, learn about the local flora and fauna, and take part in outdoor activities in direct contact with nature, ideal for families and adventurers alike.
The eco-tours are a programme of guided walks through Las Lagunas de La Mata y Torrevieja Natural Park and Molino del Agua Municipal Natural Area, designed to reveal the environmental, landscape and cultural values of this unique setting. These interpretative visits explore the wetland's biodiversity and Torrevieja's close relationship with salt, the sea and its territory.
General Route - The Great Secret of the Lagoon
An informative and participative walk to discover the natural and cultural values of the Laguna de La Mata: its formation, biodiversity and historical importance.
2026 Dates: 15 February, 8 March, 5 April, 9 May, 7 June, 6 September, 4 October and 1 November.
Ornithological Route - The Birds of the Park
An experience focused on birdwatching in one of the most important wetlands on the Spanish Mediterranean coast. During the walk, you will learn to identify species such as flamingos, avocets, black-winged stilts and white-headed ducks, as well as their habits and behaviours

Route: A Vineyard of Sand and Salt
A stroll through vineyards and lagoon to discover the unique viticulture of La Mata, the biodiversity of the surroundings and the agricultural tradition linked to the natural park.
2026 dates: 28 March, 31 May, 20 June and 26 September.
Molino del Agua Natural Area (Paraje Natural)
A guided visit to this coastal dune enclave, where a replica of the historic Molino del Agua stands and where the connection to salt-making activity and traditional land use is explained.
2026 dates: 15 March, 12 April, 10 May, 14 June and 5 July.
All routes are free of charge, with limited places and advance booking required. Comfortable clothing, suitable footwear and water are recommended.
Night Route - The Secrets of the Lagoon at Night
During the summer months, the lagoon transforms as the sun goes down. This route offers a different perspective of the park, sharpening the senses and discovering the nocturnal fauna and sounds of the wetland.
