Torrevieja has excellent connections by air, road and public transport, making it easy to reach from anywhere in Spain and Europe.
Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport is the nearest airport to Torrevieja and is approximately 40 minutes away by road. It operates domestic and international flights all year round, connecting with more than 130 destinations.
To travel from Alicante Airport to Torrevieja, there is a direct bus service connecting the airport with the city. Timetables and tickets are available online. Taxi services and car hire are also available at the terminal.
Alternatively, the Region of Murcia International Airport, also around 40 minutes away, offers domestic and international flights and easy access by road.
Torrevieja is well connected via the AP-7 (E-15) Mediterranean Motorway, with direct exits to the town, and via the N-332, which runs along the entire Alicante coastline.

Although Torrevieja does not have its own railway station, you can easily reach the nearby stations of Alicante (50 km away) and Orihuela (30 km away) by train.
Both stations offer high-speed (AVE) services and long-distance trains connecting them to cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and other major national destinations.
From either of these stations, you can complete the journey to Torrevieja by intercity coach, with frequent connections throughout the day (timetables and tickets).
The town has a bus station with regular connections from Alicante, Murcia, Elche and Cartagena, as well as direct services from Madrid at certain times of the year.
There is also a direct bus connection between Alicante Airport and Torrevieja.
Less than an hour away are the ports of Alicante and Cartagena, both with regular international cruise ship traffic.
From any of these locations, the journey by road to Torrevieja is quick and convenient.
