The Pascual Flores is a historic sailing vessel built in Torrevieja in 1917 and one of the city’s most important maritime heritage landmarks. Originally designed to transport goods, especially salt, it sailed between different ports in the Mediterranean and North Africa, forming part of a period closely connected with Torrevieja’s commercial and maritime activity.
Following its restoration, the Pascual Flores returned to sea as a floating museum and ambassador for the history, culture and seafaring traditions of Torrevieja, taking part in routes, gatherings and maritime festivals in ports across Spain and abroad.
The vessel is not permanently based in Torrevieja, as it continues to undertake voyages. When it is docked in the city and open to the public, visitors can explore its decks, learn what life was like aboard this type of vessel and discover the importance of navigation, maritime trade and the salt industry in Torrevieja’s history.
The ship also offers visits for school groups and associations.
