Playa del Cura

Playa del Cura is one of Torrevieja’s most popular beaches thanks to its privileged location in the heart of the city. Situated between Punta Margallo and the bathing areas along the Juan Aparicio promenade, it offers a comfortable and easily accessible setting for enjoying the sea without leaving the town centre.

Its urban character is one of its main attractions, with a wide range of services and immediate proximity to some of the city’s main tourist sights.

During the summer, Playa del Cura hosts different activities, including the Habaneras on the Beach concert in July, a prelude to the International Habaneras and Polyphony Contest.

The beach offers sunbed and sunshade hire, recreational water activities and restaurants and cafés along the seafront promenade.

This beach offers an assisted bathing service for people with reduced mobility from 15 June to 15 September, between 10:30 am and 2:30 pm and between 3:30 pm and 6:30 pm. Advance booking is required by calling 670 563 022. The service is only available when the green flag is flying.

This summer, Torrevieja is holding environmental workshops on different beaches to learn more about the marine environment, encourage good practices and promote the care of the Mediterranean.
