Torrevieja’s second day at Alicante Gastronómica is devoted to tuna and Flor de Sal. The programme combines tastings, live cooking, children’s workshops, a gastronomic talk, a children’s challenge and a competition offering stays in Torrevieja.
11:00–11:15 a.m. - Tasting: tuna on a salt flatbread from the Torrevieja saltworks, with grated tomato and extra virgin olive oil.
11:30–11:45 a.m. - Tasting: tuna, pickled green chilli and olive skewer.
12:00 noon–1:00 p.m. - Children’s workshop: create your own “Flavours of Torrevieja” recipe book, presented by Dos Nómadas.
1:15–2:00 p.m. - Live cooking: Torrevieja-style stewed cuttlefish on a bed of crisps with Torrevieja salt, by Joaquín Guillamó.
2:15–2:30 p.m. - Tasting: crisps, fish roe and cured tuna loin, presented by Terral Selección.
2:45–3:15 p.m. - Talk and tasting: “Tomato without salt / Tomato with salt”, presented by the Torrevieja saltworks.
3:15–4:00 p.m. - Live cooking: cinnamon rolls by Inna Carabadjac, from INAEXPRESSO and KAFEINA.
4:15–4:45 p.m. - Talk and tasting: cocoa-coated truffles with Flor de Sal, presented by the Torrevieja saltworks.
5:00–6:00 p.m. - Children’s workshop: mini cinnamon rolls for children aged 4 to 10, led by Inna Carabadjac.
6:00–7:00 p.m. - Children’s workshop: “The Art of Salt”, led by the Torrevieja saltworks.
7:00–8:00 p.m. - Children’s challenge: presented by Dos Nómadas.
8:00–8:30 p.m. - Competition: draw for three one-night stays in Torrevieja, including accommodation and breakfast for two people.
