Los Náufragos Beach
The Blue Flag confirms that this is an outstanding beach. It is long…
The Molino del Agua Natural Area, in La Mata, preserves one of the last dune systems on the Alicante coastline. Declared a protected area in 2006, its 17 hectares bring together a landscape of great environmental value, with mobile dunes by the sea and inland areas already stabilised by pine woodland.
This setting is home to unique species such as the endemic beetle Paratriodonta alicantina and the Kentish plover, a protected bird that nests in these open sandy areas. It is a place where nature and history meet, and forms part of the municipality’s environmental heritage.
To discover it in detail, guided tours are organised in two time slots, at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. In 2026, they will take place on Sundays 15 March, 12 April, 10 May, 14 June and 5 July. Registration is available at https://turismo.torrevieja.es/en/what-do/eco-tours
