Los Náufragos Beach
The Blue Flag confirms that this is an outstanding beach. It is long…
The Archpriestal Church of Inmaculada Concepción, situated in Plaza de la Constitución, is one of the main heritage landmarks of Torrevieja. The first church was built in 1789 and, after the earthquake of 1829, was rebuilt from 1844 onwards using materials from the old watchtower that gave the town its name.
Built in a Neoclassical style, the building features a sober façade flanked by bell towers and a spacious, light-filled interior. Inside, various works of art are preserved and the Immaculate
Conception, patron saint of Torrevieja, is venerated; her image features prominently in the town’s main religious celebrations.
