The Torrevieja Municipal Theatre, situated right in the heart of the city, is one of the main cultural venues in the municipality. Opened in 2006 on the site of the former Torrevieja Cinema (1925), it continues the theatrical tradition of this historic site.
With its contemporary architecture and modern lines, the building has a distinctive and easily recognisable appearance within the urban landscape.
It features a main auditorium with a capacity for 650 spectators and a stage of around 400 m², equipped with an acoustic shell and modern stage equipment. It also has a rehearsal room, a foyer with a café, an orchestra pit and various technical spaces.
Throughout the year, it hosts the majority of Torrevieja’s cultural programme: theatre, music, dance and major shows, establishing itself as one of the city’s leading cultural landmarks.
